Andy Goldsworthy Environmental Installations.

Our installation project will be influenced by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. Here’s some of his work which was featured in Scholastic Art, April/May 2005. There is a great documentary of his work called, “Rivers and Tides”. We are going to watch it in class on Tuesday.  If the weather cooperates, we'll be going outside to create our own instillations and photograph them on Wednesday.  If the weather is bad, we'll have to wait until Monday after Spring Break.

Today you need to post your NARRATIVE photo assignment if you needed to retake them.

Then, make sure you have your Worth1000 assignment posted

Tomorrow, we will be watching a video in Room 210.  You may bring snacks or drinks for yourself or to share.

Day 2 and STILL No Pictures???

If you don't have photos for the Narrative Photo Assignment, you will write a 1 to 2 page paper. Type your paper in Microsoft Word. You should have normal 1 inch margins and begin typing at the TOP of the page.  Include a title page with your name.  Use a 12 point font such as Cambria or Times New Roman. 


You will select one PhotoJournalist and write about his or her career.  List of PhotoJournalists to Choose From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_photojournalists
 
You may research your PhotoJournalist online...but DO NOT use Wikipedia as a source.
 
Make a list of your references at the end of your paper.

Group "Photo Chain" Assignment

My plan for this assignment is for you all to edit the same photo.  Then I want to print them all out and make a group project for the Art Show (which is next week!)

So, click the link to the photo and edit the photo using Paint.NET.  Remember the photos we saw that were edited by Harold and Tom.  Be Creative!

Blur Photos

Blur Photos were due YESTERDAY!   I hope you came up with some creative ideas!!

Please select your best 3 to 5 photos.
       Make sure they use blur in some way.
       Make sure they work together as a series.

Edit them if needed, but DO NOT use any BLUR filters in Paint.NET

Post them to your blog.  Title the post something that includes the word BLUR.

When finished, continue working on your Composite Assignment from last week.



IF YOU STILL DON'T HAVE BLUR PHOTOS:

Open Microsoft Word and begin typing a 1 page double spaced paper.

Research ISO using the following links.  Then, write your paper about how ISO works with Aperture and Shutter Speed to create the proper exposure.  Be sure to write about what ISO is, how it is measured, how it is different from Aperture and Shutter Speed, how it effects the look of a photo, and how it works in the Exposure Triangle.
