•       How to Photograph Textures (more geared to people with an DSLR ($$) camera)
•       How to Photograph Textures (more for people with point & shoots)

Your assignment is to take at least 50 photos of textures.  Be sure to fill the frame.  Try to get a variety of colors and different textures.  We will be taking these photos and creating some artwork using them when we return from Spring Break.  They won't be due until the Wednesday 5/4 after Spring Break.

Part 2 of Composite Assignment

Notice the ELEMENTS  and PRINCIPLES of art used here.

-COLOR(Color scheme is limited to a black and white and red scheme)
-Red is used to create EMPHASIS
-REPETITION & PATTERN is used in the repeating white birds
-SHAPE is used as a repeating rectangle shapes where the body is cut into rectangles
-diagonal LINES are used where the body is cut into a diagonal line which mirrors the diagonal lines of the "give way" sign



   For Part 2 of the composite assignment....take a few minutes and make a plan.  Think about the ELEMENTS & PRINCIPLES of art.  I will be grading these based on the use of the Elements & Principles of art.  Creating an EMPHASIS (or focal point) is very important.  Think about color scheme.  If your artwork sends a creepy message, think of color schemes that go along with that, etc.

REPETITION is always a good idea.  What can you repeat to create an interesting composition?
