You should have completed the Chapter 1 Guided Reading WS. Then, you will complete the History of Photography WS by searching the Internet for the answers.
Then, I have something else for you to do!
Your first big assignment in this class is going to be a research project about the History of Photography.
Eventually, you will be creating a PowerPoint Presentation about one photographer from the list below.
Today, I just want you to do some research on the names from the list of photographers below. I will give you some links to websites to check out below and you can also try Googling their names and using Google Images.
(Remember: EVEN THOUGH YOU GOOGLED THEIR NAME, THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT EVERY IMAGE THAT RETURNS IS ONE OF THEIR PHOTOS!! You may have to do a little reading to make sure that it was one of their photographs!)
In conclusion today you will...
- Spend some time looking at their images & reading some information about the photographers from the links below,
- Select THREE different names that you are interested in researching. (I want everyone to do a different photographer, so you may not be able to research your first choice) You will be assigned ONE photographer when I return.
- Write down the three names on a sheet of paper (along with your name!) and give it to the sub by the end of the class.
- If you have any extra classtime, I am going to put some links for you to explore below.
